member of First Baptist Church in Washington. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service. He was employed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Katherine Louise Dennis of Temple Hills, Md.; three daughters Dionne L. Dennis and Kimberly L. Dennis of Temple Hills and Ronda D. Toney of Suitland, Md.; one son Cleve D. Dennis II of Temple Hill, Md.; two brothers William McKinley Dennis of Castleton and Ernest Dennis of Broadway and three sisters Armentra A. Jackson of Lanham, Md., Virginia D. Dennis of Landover, Md. and Barbara L. Shanks of Washington and one grandson.
Additional survivors include a son-in-law, three aunts and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at Bolling Base Chapel in Washington, D.C. with burial in Chettenham, Md at the veterans cemetery with full military honors. Chaplain Spearman officiated at the service.
Virginia Dearing

Virginia E. Dearing, 91, of Glenway Farm in Huntly died Sunday, Jan. 25 in Warren County.
A mass of Christian burial was conducted on Wednesday at St John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. William Ruehl. Burial followed in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Dearing was born Aug. 26, 1906 in Rappahannock County and was the wife of the late Dr. A. Willis Dearing.
Pallbearers were members of the Knights of Columbus.
