Variety show at The Theatre
A variety show by members of the Washington Baptist Church will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at The Theatre on Gay Street. There will not be an admission charge, however, donations will be accepted for the building fund of Washington Baptist.
Estate planning seminar set
The Rappahannock Farmer’s Association will hold an estate planning seminar on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School. The seminar will feature Bill Truban of Owen & Truban Law Offices in Winchester. For more informatibn call 675-3444.
Valentine’s dinner planned
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad is having its annual Valentine’s dinner on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The meal will consist of half barbecued chicken with wild rice, mashed potatoes, peas, rolls, garden salad, homemade desserts and beverages. Prices are $8.50 for adults; couples, two for $16 and children eight and under $4.50. The meal will be prepared by Pat Jenkins and Company. RAAC-on-tour to see Riverdance
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community will sponsor a trip to Wolf Trap to see the spectacular Irish song and dance show, “Riverdance”, at 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 5. The bus will leave the Trinity Church parking lot at 6 p.m. The charge will be 30 ($20 for lawn tickets and $10 for bus). Reservations must be made by Feb. 5. Mail checks to RAAC, P.O. Saturday, Feb. 14, Second Saturday Hike Series to Rappahannock River Watershed Tributaries in the Shenandoah National Park. Destination, Jordan River Trail to “The Peak”. Volunteers sought for soccer
Volunteers are needed for the Rappahannock Soccer League. Those interested in keeping soccer alive and kicking in Rappahannock are encouraged to come to the volunteers meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library.
