The Rappahannock County Garden Club began the new year with a record turnout for the January meeting. The program was on “The Garden Club Federation” and the speaker was Mrs. Ronald Sturm who is President of the Shenandoah District of garden clubs which includes the Rappahannock club. The Madison Garden Club was invited to join the local club for the meeting and number of guests from Madison were present.
Mrs. Sturm explained the organization of garden clubs in the Untied States from the National Council of State Garden Clubs down to the individual clubs such as the Rappahannock club.
