They are called VITA/TCE sites which stand for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Tax Counseling for the Elderly. The sites open in February and operate until April 15.
In Rappahannock County, the library site, 4 Library Road will be open to complete federal and state returns on Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call the library at 675-3780 to make an appointment to get your tax return completed. Be sure to bring your 1997 tax package and label, all W-2 and 1099 forms, last year’s tax return and deduction and credit information.
