The biggest complaint I have with the News, however, is that there isn’t enough of it. The Fauquier TimesDemocrat gets fatter and fatter, while the News gets thinner and thinner. They are owned by the same parent company and I suspect there is a direct relationship there. It must be very hard to be all things to all people in the county with so little space to do it in. And three of your staff are only part-time employees — also due to financial restraints, I suspect.

Mr. Gannon complained about coverage of the board of supervisors’ meeting and news on the “installment plan.” Sure, we would like to have everything in one article, but the board and the town council are monthly meetings. With the News being a weekly, coverage is old news by the next issue no matter when you print it. Cutting the articles up might
