As the adult supporters of

the Creative Community Youth Council who were not interviewed, we appreciate your interest in covering this group of motivated teens. One of our goals is to teach young people how to navigate the world so they can transform dreams into reality by providing an organizational structure that will enrich teen life with maximum youth input and participation.

The multi-purpose black top area they have begun to explore with the Recreation Board for skate boarding, bicycling and roller blading is only one project being researched. It was erroneously reported as if it is ready to happen. Positive thinking never hurts but apologies go to all who read that and said, “Oh really?” We have embraced their requests to help them initiate some community service projects, provide recreational needs and host stimulating monthly discussion topics. They would like to explore creating a drop-in center for socializing and coffee house events with music and poetry.

It is our hope to teach them how to set goals, go through the proper steps, assess an idea’s value to the community and follow through on its creation, including fund raising. At this time, no decision has been made on the allocation of any fund raising efforts.
