Senior Angie Armentrout became Rappahannock County High School's second homecoming queen during a ceremony Friday night. The crowning was performed by Athletic Director Bernard Cheshire at halftime of the varsity basketball game. Miss Armentrout is one of the school’s premier scholar-athletes; a member of the National Honor Society as well as a leader of the girls basketball, volleyball and track and field teams. She was escorted by Butch Foster. Firefighter and Rescue Squad Member of the Year, Doug Bywaters Jr. and Charlotte Tummeyer, both of the Flint Hill Fire Department, were honored by the Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association at its annual dinner Jan. 16.
