When a hand full of Woodville residents first discussed the possibilities for celebrating the town’s bicentennial year, everybody chuckled at the idea for a regional history parade and “grand county festival” held in the heart of the humble community, home to just a few homes and two retail businesses. But now, five months later and through the collective efforts of residents across Rappahannock and surrounding counties, these ideas have fully blossomed into what promises to be one of the most happily remembered, historic occasions in Rappahannock’s 133 year history.
Formally endorsed by the Rappahannock Historical Society and the boards of supervisors of Rappahannock, Culpeper, and Orange Counties, the event is designed to bring everyone in Rappa-hannock together for a fun filled day of historic awareness and community fellowship.
