NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WITH RESPECT TO THE ISSUANCE, SALE AND AWARD OF GENERAL OBLIGATION SCHOOL BONDS BY THE COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK, VIRGINIA, IN THE MAXIMUM PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,000,000, TO BE SOLD TO THE VIRGINIA PUBLIC SCHOOL AUTHORITY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO PAY A PORTION OF THE COSTS OF CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES WITHIN RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2606 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, with respect to the adoption by the Board of Supervisors of a Resolution authorizing the issuance, sale and award of the principal amount not to exceed $3,000,000 of General Obligation School Bonds of Rappahannock County, Virginia, to be sold to the Virginia Public School Authority, for the purpose of providing funds to pay a portion of the costs of the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, renovation, expansion and equipping of public school facilities in the County including, but not limited to, additions to the Rappahannock County High School within the County of Rappahannock, Virginia.
The public hearing which may be continued or adjourned will be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 5, 1998, before the Board of Supervisors at the Circuit Courtroom in the County Courthouse located at Gay Street, Washington, Virginia. Any person interested in the issuance, sale and award of the bonds may appear at the hearing and present his or her views. A copy of the proposed Resolution is on file and open for inspection at the office of the County Administrator located at Gay Street, Washington, Virginia, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
