Junior Mark Williams was third overall in the boys and first for Rappahannock with a time of 18 minutes, 43 seconds. Second for the Panthers was Senior Willie Collins who ran the course in 18 minutes, 52 seconds. Rapp’s third runner across the finish line was Junior Chad Heddleston who had a time of 19 minutes, 47 seconds.
Second over all in the girls race and first for Rappahannock was Junior Beth Yowell.' She completed her run in 25 minutes, 53 seconds. Coming in second for the team was eighth grader Rachel Sharp who ran the course in 26 minutes, 24 seconds. Jessie Gheen, a senior, was third with a time of 27 minutes, four seconds.
Williams commented that he sees the team improving throughout the rest of the season. “I think more team work will develop as the year goes on and our sense of family will increase.”
