Special service planned

The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Ushers Association District Two will hold its annual pre-Thanksgiving service on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Remington. The quarterly meeting of the association will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Haywood, Madison County.

Revival, homecoming set

Revival services are underway at the Promise Land Baptist Church, Gid Brown Hollow Road, Washington and will continue until Friday, Sept. 25, devotions nightly at 7:30. Rev. Forrest Freeman is the evangelist. Homecoming services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27 morning and afternoon services will be conducted by Pastor John R. Pendleton. He will be accompanied by the Voice of Inspiration from the Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill for the afternoon.
