Fall festival planned

The Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center will be having a Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Old Schoolhouse in Washington on Mt. Salem Avenue. The festival will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature door prizes, homemade baked goods', crafts, white elephant sale, silent auction, donations by local businesses and merchants and many other items. All proceeds to benefit the senior citizens of Rappahannock.

Apple Harvest festival set

An Apple Harvest festival will be held Oct. 10, 11, 17 and 18 at Graves Mountain Lodge from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. There will be food, entertainment, crafts, hayrides and fun for all.

Karate classes underway

Shorin-Ryu Okinawan Karate classes are currently underway at Ki Theatre in Washington. Classes will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for juniors and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for adults. For additional information call Betsy Tbth at 349-0632 or Arthur Drago at 635-7554.

Ragged Mountain activity

House Tour dates set

The annual Rappahannock House Tbur and Dried Flower Sale sponsored by the Trinity Episcopal Church will be held Oct. 17 and 18.

The Rappahannock Healing Arts has the following activities scheduled: Sept. 24: Yoga at 9:30 a.m.; Therapeutic Massage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sept. 25: Voice Analysis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Health Options Counseling from 1 to 5 p.m. and Nutritional Counseling from 4 to 8 p.m.; Sept. 26 Therapeutic Massage/Alexander; Nutrition for Healing with Kathy Edwanis, N.D. and Karen Loving, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. $35.; Sept 28: Nutritional Counseling from 1 to 4 p.m. and Yoga St Sept. 29: Voice Analysis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Solution Focused Counseling from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.; Sept. 30: Herb Clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Solution Focused Counseling from 5 to 9 p.m.

A herbal medicine series will begin Sept. 29 and continue until Dec. 1. It is recommended that the series be attended as a whole, course fee is $200. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. under the direction of Kathleen Maier. For information call 987-7204.
