This summer a group at the University of Virginia called
Central American Reconstruction Effort (CARE) is organizing a project in Honduras to help rebuild some of the areas devastated by Hurricane Mitch. The project is being co-sponsored by Habitat for Humanity.
The work brigade will consist of students who in 1999-2000 will be high school seniors and college-age young adults (it is not a requirement that they actually be enrolled in college).
The project organizers hope to have at least 50 workers involved who will be in Honduras from two to six weeks.
