Hubert Lee Brumback II, 27, of Frederick County has assumed the position of Assistant Extension Agent, Agriculture in Rappahannock and Warren Counties. He started work last week and will spend two weeks in each county working closely with the 4-H clubs. Sunday, March 2 is “Apple Jelly Sunday” in Rappahannock County and throughout Virginia sponsored by the Rappahannock Chapter Jaycees. The cost is $1 per jar. Proceeds will be used to build a camp in Virginia for mentally retarded children. The Washington Ladies Auxiliary will have its regular meeting on Monday, March 3 at the fire house. Excitement mounts as top entries continue to come in for the Rappahannock Hunt’s 20th Point-toPoint race to be run this coming Saturday, March 1 at Thornton Hill Farm, one mile south of Sperryville on Route 522. The last event of the day will be the hound race, open to all hound owners in the Rappahannock Hunt territory and/or members of the Northern Virginia Foxhunters Association. Forty-five hounds have been entered to date in the race. Richard Gore Jr. and Brenda Printz were named 4-H’ers of the Year in Rappahannock County and received this recognition at the annual 4-H Achievement Night Program held Friday at the courthouse. Brenda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Printz of Amissville and Richard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gore of Estes. They were presented gifts made possible through the courtesy
