They’ll be bringing that music, born and nurtured right here in the mountains of Rappahannock County to Wolf Trap in Vienna on Wednesday, March 10. The concert celebrates the release of Reisler’s new album, “Birth of a River,” on Earthsea/Platinum Records.
For almost 25 years, Paul Reisler & Trapezoid have created a direct and emotional, music that cuts across borders — combining folk roots, world music eclecticism, classical precision, and new age mysticism with the vitality of contemporary music.

Reisler writes most of the music and songs. His songs tell stories with a rare depth and world view that prompted V Magazine to say, ‘The songs are beautifully and powerfully sung...as radio ready as a Mary Chapin Carpenter performance and as true to life as a Harry Chapin composition”.
The All Music Guide wrote, ‘The vocals are pure poetry. This nearly allacoustic ensemble treats these original tunes by Trapezoid founder Paul Reisler with reverence of old traditional ones but with a daring of Promethean proportions.”
