Open house at Wakefield
Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly is holding an open house on Sunday, March 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. Wakefield is a non-sectarian, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, college preparatory day school. Democratic Committee to meet
The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will hold a special meeting on \Vc Jnesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the library. The sole purpose of this meeting (according to Article 8, Section 8.12 of the Democratic Party of Virginia Plan) is for committee members to prescribe candidates for county constitutional offices, should any such candidates come forward. That is the only function of this meeting, any other issues will be discussed at regularly scheduled meetings. The presiding officer of this meeting will be Kent Reeve. Hatha Yoga classes to begin
Hatha Yoga classes will again be offered at Moose Hill Farms near Slate Mills, in two six-week sessions beginning March 1 and March 3. Beginners and experienced students are welcome. Morning sessions will be held Mondays from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and evening sessions on Wednesdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Classes combine stretching, breathing and relaxation exercises to tone the nerves, muscles, glands, ligaments and joints. The results include reduced stress and increased flexibility and strength, simultaneously calming and energizing the mind and body.
