“This week I saw my first asphalt truck of the year,” he said, and then went on to explain how these companies take advantage of county residents.
“They say they will asphalt your driveway for $90, but then demand $990 when the job is completed. They are very intimidating,” Brown said.
The group responded with a variety of telemarketing scams they had received , which purposely intend to misrepresent the callers.
Brown explained how to stop telemarketers by ordering them not to call any more.
He also gave the seniors advice on how to deal with people they suspected were casing their homes for burglary.
