The threat of telecommunication towers sprouting from mountaintops and the loss of county control over its own zoning with House Bill 2324 set the tone for the Planning Commission meeting on Feb 17.

At the request of the Board of Supervisors, County Administrator John McCarthy invited the commission to attend a public meeting planned by the Board of Supervisors on March 18 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School auditorium.

The meeting will give the telecommunications companies a forum to present their ideas. The public will also have a chance to voice their feelings about the construction of totoers and need for service.
