PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING WARREN-RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY BOUNDARIES
Warren & Rappahannock Counties are sponsoring a joint public informational meeting about a proposal to adjust the boundary between the two jurisdictions on Thursday, March 4, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. at the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad Hall.
Representatives from the Board of Supervisors and various County Agencies will be on hand to answer questions and to solicit citizens' input on the proposal prepared by the Commissioners of the Revenue for Warren & Rappahannock Counties. A map showing the existing and proposed boundaries will be available for inspection.
The net effect of the proposal would be to increase the legal land area of Rappahannock County, largely to reflect the actual practice of residents and their current claims of residency.
