Walter Longyear also said that his party discussed the possibility of running Republican candidates, but feels that it is too early to say what the party was going to do.
“I think it is the responsibility of the political parties to run candidates,” he added.
The Republican Party will hold a meeting in a month or so to decide the matter, according to Longyear.
Filing requirements
Filing to run for the school board or Board of Supervisor includes completing a number of forms and collecting 50 signatures of registered voters from that district. Constitutional offices require 125 signatures from county citizens.
