Eve’s Bayou to be shown
RAAC salutes Black History Month with a splendid African American movie “Eve’s Bayou.” The movie will be shown at The Theatre on Gay Street, Friday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. (R, 109 minutes, $5 adults, $4 students)
Make up days announced
The Rappahannock County Public Schools will use March 29 and 30 as regular school days to make up for two days missed in January.
Women’s Bureau to meet
The Rappahannock Women’s Bureau meeting will be held on Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m. at The Self-Help Center in Sperryville. Projects reviewed, guest speaker and social hour will be featured. Girl Scouts to sell cookies
Rappahannock Girl Scouts will be selling cookies Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Washington Post Office from 9 a.m. to 12. Anyone wishing additional information or wanting to purchase cookies call Michele Herbert at 937-5901.
Education Advisory Council to meet
The Special Education Advisory Council of Rappahannock County Public Schools will meet in the school library at the elementary school at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 25. The school psychologist will make a presentation on ability testing. All interested persons are welcome.
Membership dinner, meeting set
Rappahannock Farmers Association will hold their annual meeting and membership dinner on March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. Membership may be obtained the night of the dinner for only $35. There will be a brief business meeting followed by a guest speaker, Chris Miller from Piedmont Environmental Council.
