Mike Helms kicks

off Redskins

raffle for Hospice

Former Redskin Mike Helms, owner of Champion Chevrolet/Geo/Oldsmobile, has teamed up with Hospice of the Rapidan and Rex’s Sports Club to kick off a Redskins Ticket Raffle to raise money for Hospice’s Benevolent Care Fund. The kick-off party will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 2:30 p.m. at Rex’s on Davis Street in Culpeper.

The raffle features two prize packages worth approximately $1,000 each. Each package includes four premium seats on the 40-yard line, nine rows behind the Redskins’ bench, and reserved parking at the new Jack Kent Cooke stadium. One package is for the Sept. 12 game against the Dallas Cowboys; the second is for the Nov. 28 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

These generous prizes were donated by Ann Mattingly and Nancy Garrett, in memory of their dear friend Jessie C. Barton, a former hospice patient.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, with the drawing to be held Aug. 6. Tickets may be purchased at he party, or by calling Hospice of the Rapidan at 825-4840 during normal office hours.
