Thursday, May 29,1969 Twenty-six blood donors presented themselves at the Red Cross Bloodmobile Unit which visited Rappahannock County on Monday. The quota of blood asked from the county was 75 pints and that received was only 21 pints. Rush River near Washington will be stocked with trout on June 4. The season is not closed for this stocking so fisherman will have no interruption in their sport. 4-H project groups will be organized in Rappahannock providing there is enough interest shown by youngsters and parents. These groups will be open to any girl, age 9 years and up who are interested in food, clothing, babysitting, grooming and other areas of home economics. At the final meeting of the PTA of Rappahannock County Elementary School held May 22, the following officers were elected to serve in the 1969-70 school session: President, Mrs. Charles Swaim; Vice President, Thomas S. Rees II; Secretary, Mrs. James F. Massie; Treasurer, James E. Fountain and Program Chairman, Mrs. Edward Clark. Mrs. Kathryn Pomeroy presented awards from the Commercial Department at the award assembly at RCHS recently. They included: Typing II, JoAnn van Brederode; Bookkeeping Stephen Alther and Secretarial award, Brenda Hackley. Also at the awards program Beverly Payne was named the outstanding home ec girl in Miss Rose Marie Dudley’s department, and
