Ray A. Nicholson, 81, of Huntly died Thursday, May 20 at Mont Vue Nursing Home in Luray.
Graveside services were held May 22 at the Flint Hill Cemetery by Arnold “Win” Davis.
Mr. Nicholson was born July 1, 1917 in Syria, son of Felton S. and Claudia Fincham Nicholson. He was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are one brother, Reid Nicholson of Front Royal and a sister, Mildred Ackliss of Arlington.

Gaile Lucille Katos, 48, of Washington died Wednesday, May 19 in the INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax.
Mrs. Katos was bom Jan. 28, 1950 in DuBois, Pa., the daughter of Mary Louise Hanner Mohney of Rochester, N.Y. and the late Howard George Mohney.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, Richard William Katos and one son, Nicholas J. McIntosh of Baltimore, Md
Also surviving are two brothers, Charles F. Mohney and David G. Mohney, both of Rochester, N.Y.
She was predeceased by one brother, Howard G. Mohney Jr.
A memorial service was conducted at the St. Peter’s Catholic Mission in Washington on Saturday, May 22 with Father Robert Lange officiating.
