Courtesy of First Washington Museum OUT-OF-THE-ATTIC: This toll ticket was given to First Washington Museum years ago by a former Clerk of Rappahannock County. There was a tollgate three miles from Washington between Washington and Sperryville. The toll collected was used to assist building roads in Rappahannock County. The toll building still stands today.
