Request for Proposal - RFP 452-DL
The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking proposals from qualified architectural/ engineering firms for the purposes of entering into a contract through competitive negotiations for the professional services of an Architectural/ Engineering firm, authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with experience in designing/ site adapting various operational buildings similar to that required for this RFP in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Construction and Professional Service Manual, December 1996, as revised.
A site showing will not be conducted prior to submission of proposals, as A/E’s will be short listed based on project criteria.
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
Monies have been appropriated for the Construction of Rappahannock Area Headquarters. The proposed project will be located on Route 622, 0.17 miles south of the intersection of Routes 622 and 522/211 in Rappahannock County. The site is api proximately 8.0-acres. The estimated construction cost is $1,660,000.
It will consist of a 1,500 SF Superintendent/ Timekeepers Office, an Equipment Storage/ Maintenance Building of approximately 11,500 SF, a general purpose storage building of approximately 1,800 SF, Twelve (12) Bay Spreader Rack, Two Pump Fuel Island, and Two (2) 82’ Diameter Dome Chemical Storage Buildings. Site work required to include (but not limited to) clearing, grading, landscaping, fencing, paving and utilities.
The Superintendent/ Timekeepers Office will include office space, meeting/ training/ conference, bathrooms and administrative support areas.
The Equipment Storage/ Maintenance Building will consist of two maintenance bays, wash bay and approximately 12 equipment storage bays.
