Fall soccer registration set
The Rappahannock County Soccer League announces that fall soccer registration will start in June. There will be on-site registration at RCES on June 5 from 9 a m. until noon. The registrar will be at the soccer fields to take registrations. Registration fees are $35 for the first child and $30 for each additional child. New players must bring a copy of their birth certificate.
Registration forms will also be placed at the main offices of RCES and RCHS starting June 1. Please feel free to call the registrar, Sara Lawrey, at 675-1781 with any questions you may have.
Benefit car wash planned
The Girls Basketball team will sponsor a car wash on Saturday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 211 Quicke Mart. The charge is $5 per vehicle. For more information call Luther Stanley at 987-8277.
Library closed for holiday
The Rappahannock Library will be closed Saturday, May through Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.
Cancer discussion at Library
The Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society will host a program on Prostate Cancer at the Rappahannock Library at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 11. Dr. Nini Data, a well known and respected Urologist in Warrenton will present a discussion on the need for early detection and the different procedures which are used in treating this condition in adult men. This is important for men of all ages starting with early testing although the individual may not be aware there could be a problem with his health. Also, all women are invited to attend.
