OF THE
MOMENT
To watch a child at play is to know the great benefit that comes from living in the moment. When the past is but a recalled memory and the future is of little importance, one is free to live unencumbered in the present with the mind focused on the important matters at hand. Those who are able to live their lives by the moment find they are happier as a result. In the words of Andre Gide, “In order to be utterly happy the only thing necessary is to refrain from comparing this moment with other moments in the past, which I often did not fully enjoy because I was comparing them with other moments of the future.” How true this is! We often “waste” the moments we are given by comparing them to others. So often we have what we need right in front of us, and yet how often we simply want more. Taking stock of life's current joys can fill the heart with gratitude and ease. At the Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., we welcome people from all backgrounds and denominations, and we'll design services to meet your needs. Losing one you love is a vulnerable time, and you'll find we treat you with respect. Call 347-3431.
“The now, the here, through which all future plunges to the past. ”
