Salary: $20,823-$32,510 Department of Juvenile Justice has a opportunity for a Painter Lead to ensure the timely completion of quality work and the efficient use of resources relating to painting and all painting activities in addition to the overseeing of juvenile wards in their performance of painting and painting related duties. Duties include journeyman level painting duties and performance/supervision of work related to erecting of scaffolding and rigging.

Qualified applications should have knowledge of paints, compound mixtures, materials & chemicals and a general knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques. The ability to follow and interpret both verbal and written instructions and.to accurately estimate jobs in terms of time and employment is also necessary. Successful applicants must satisfactorily complete a DJJ background and possess a valid driver's license Is required by the time of employment.

Preferred applicants should have a H.S. diploma or equivalent with additional training in journey level painting and considerable experience in preparing surfaces for painting, mixing paint to achieve the desired colors and painting a variety of surfaces using varied techniques.
