The generosity shown by the 74 businesses and individuals who sponsored the event was overwhelming as was the time, energy and resources volunteered by so many kind individuals and organization (including VDOT, the Rappahannock and Fauquier County Sheriff’s Department, the Virginia State Police, Trinity Episcopal Church, this newspaper and others). Thanks to all, the event was a huge success with 376 bikers including bike clubs and individuals from all over the region.
All proceeds from the RoughRide will go to the Fauquier Free Clinic which provides quality primary health care and dental services to uninsured individuals in Rappahannock and Fauquier Counties. Proceeds from the tour will go toward providing medications for children and adults, equipment and testing supplies for diabetics and supplies for the medical and dental clinics. For every $1 we raise, $4 in health care services will be delivered to patients.
