Tonight, Peter Kramer gets to state his case for preserving the summer cottage behind the Mercantile building to the Town Council. If you have an opinion on the matter, now is the time to Nmake yourself heard. ^ There are two points to be made here. First, don’t be bashful about speaking your mind if you attend the meeting. A number of individuals at the first ARB •meeting on the matter remained quiet. Yes, this promises to be an exciting and stressful event. But don’t let that stop you from speaking out and making 'your opinion known. The other point is that just because you don’t live in the town of Washington doesn’t mean that this won’t affect .you. Sure, it’s obvious what Sunnyside Farms is proposing will impact the town’s residents. ; Blit someone made a good point over the weekend: It ' affects anyone who comes into town. ' Anybody who comes into the town of Washington, ' whether it be to work or to shop, will be impacted by * what stands where the cottage now is - whether it’s the cottage as it now is or something different, and ► whether the impact is good or bad. Whether you live in town or out in the county, if : you have an opinion you need to come to the meeting . and make yourself heard. Don’t wait for someone else ’ to speak up.
