Despite not having to work in the hustle and bustle of D.C., the Weinbergs stay busy. Wendy runs The Theater in Washington, and Bob helps out there on occasion. Wendy is also the American representative on the governing body of the London School of Economics.
Bob teaches classes at the University of Virginia Law School, and will teach at George Washington University Law School in the spring. He still takes on some occasional pro bono legal cases.
Weinberg is also President of the Foundation of the Bar Association in D.C., as well as former President of the D.C. Bar, which includes all lawyers in the District, and the Bar Association of D.C., a voluntary association founded in 1871. He is an active member of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee, and ran for Congress in 1996.
Weinberg also sees sitting on the BZA as “a satisfying form of community service to the county.” He added that a principal role of the BZA is “to be fair to all who come before it.”
