Folks, I’m giving you plenty of notice to avoid the kitchen on Saturday, Oct. 9, by attending a Fried Country Ham Dinner at the Jefferson ton Center from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. (Posters around town show 5 p.m.) Sit down to a meal of fried country ham, boiled potatoes, green beans, “Dick’s” fried apples, biscuits, red-eye gravy, dessert, and a drink. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4.95 for children with the proceeds going toward maintenance of the building.
