Upon returning to the states, Weinberg attended Yale Law School, graduating in 1960. He is a founding partner of the law firm Williams and Conley in Washington, D.C., where he worked for over 30 years. He says that it was a great opportunity to work alongside Edward Bennett Williams, a leading legal advocate in D.C.
The Weinbergs bought the land they now live on in 1968, on Quaintance Road in Slate Mills, from Robinson Pullen. Their house was finished in 1970, and they lived there on weekends for the next 25 years. Bob retired from the law firm in 1996, and they moved in full-time.
Journalism must run in the Weinberg family. Bob has contributed articles to the Rappahannock News in the past. Two pieces of note he did for us were stories on President Clinton’s last inauguration and the Prime Minister’s inauguration in England back in 1997. Their son Jeremy works as an editor for Goldman Sachs in London.
Daughter Susan teaches English and Creative Writing at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. She was also a writer for the National Zoo’s bi-monthly magazine for some time. Their other son
