He appeared as part of a group to discuss points of view for the year 2000 election. Father Pokorsky was quick to point out that he wasn’t one of their first choices, saying “They reached down into the priestly food chain.”
On the subject of politics, Father Pokorsky says that ^We need candidates of principal and character.” He added that “Catholic politicians should strive to live up to the Catholic teaching, especially in regards to life issues.” He added that candidates of all religious backgrounds should strivfe to adhere to the teachings' of their respective religion. *
Father Pokorsky likes football, and calls himself a “Fair weather Packers fan” and a “Fair weather Redskins fan.” He also referred to himself as a fair weather fisherman. He is co-editor of a church-related publication with a circulation of about 23,000.
