Atkins to host gathering
Jackson District voters are cordially invited to an informal gathering for Jack Atkins for Supervisor on Sunday,' Oct. 10 from 1 until 4 p.m. at the Amissville fire station. Hot dogs, drinks and cookies will be provided. Residents are encouraged to come out, meet and talk with the candidate.
Poetry reading at The Library
Dr. Martin Galvin of Chevy Chase, Md., poet, teacher and writer, will read his poetry at the second Friday night program at the Rappahannock County Library, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m.: “Poems in their Making: A Reading and Discussion." Dr. Galvin and his wife Theresa have frequently visited the county.
