Rappahannock News Contributing Writer September light: a lowering shaft of white yet golden sun, an atmospheric play of coolness - that lies in wait thats yet to come, it pleases to tease the morning dew upon the catails bloom an echo’s moan of all the blessed summer days that passed too soon. September’s long and slow engaging song wraps round the heart of all the meadows gold and purple slaves that wave as one enticing deeper shadows for the day and the slowly slanting sun that special September light: reflecting on all that once was new...in may.. but now a pause in warmth that cares that days grow short... a list in the ship of seasons - return to winter’s port.. the promise in a sweet breeze to savor each moment now . to stand and love this view from the ship of September’s bow..
