today’s jazz formats. Jazz bands, smaller instrumental groups, and single vocalists perform widely at live jazz performance venues, and their recorded music fills the racks in the music stores. Yet the lovely sound of four or more voices together phrasing jazz chord harmonies, singing melodies against counter melodies, and swinging through syncopated rhythms, is as welcome as ever.
