"A “Meet the Candidates” event wHI'be held at Rappahannock County High School auditorium commons area on Wednesday, Oct. 13 for supervisor and school toaird candidates. From 6:30 to 7 frih. the audience will submit questions; the forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by a cnie hour social with supervisor and school board candidates. Tha moderator for the event will be William Dietel.
Rabies clinic slated
A rabies clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Animal Shelter located at the County landfill. Cost is $10 per shot and all proceeds will benefit Rappahannock Animal Welfare League. For more information call 937-3336 or 937-3283.

The Sperryville Gateway Committee will hold a public meeting Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7 p,.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
Pig roast at H.B.
Wood’s farm
Residents from the StonewallHawthorne District are invited to attend a pig roast on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. for the benefit of Thornhill for Supervisor and Warner for School Board. The event will be held at H.B. Wood’s farm, 100 yards south of Burke’s Store on Route 522. Participants are asked to bring a chair and enjoy an evening of * food, fun, country music, andT^;*** conversation.
Come, meet, greet and chat with the candidates. While the event is free, there will be an opportunity to make a contribution, (if you have not already done so) to help to defray the costs.
