Visitors can experience the beautiful colors of the season as they enjoy a hayride or horseback ride through the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. And, no harvest is complete without a trip to the orchards tb pick fresh apples or a visit to the packing shed to select fruit, pumpkins, gourde, Indian corn, homemade preserves and condiments, and fresh apple cider.
The popular bluegrass band “Mark Newton and friends” will be returning to this year’s Apple Harvest Festival and will begin performing each day at 11 a.m.
Clogging fans will enjoy the talents of the following groups, each performing at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, Orange County Cloggers and Sunday Oct. 17, Mountain Heritage Cloggers.
