Track fundraising

Track fundraising coordinator Brooke Fletcher, anticipating a significant response to fundraising activities for a new track and field facility, requested that the Board determine the best means of banking and accounting for funds received. She suggested that all funds be placed in a school account, in lieu of a foundation account, and managed by the School Board. The Board agreed to research the issue and to have some conclusions by the November meeting. Anyone interested in contributing to the track fund should note that tax deductible contributions can be accepted by the School Board now, and will be placed in a temporary “track” account until final arrangements have been made.
