Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County intend to hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 1, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA to consider a proposal to declare U.S. Rt. 522 in Rappahannock County a Virginia Byway.
This designation administered by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) would result in increased publicity and notice to the public of the scenic values of the road segment in question, possibly resulting in increased tourism. The designation entails no limitations or regulations of land uses, other than signage, which would be regulated no more than current the regulations of the Country of Rappahannock.
AH interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment.
