noticed the first fires of fall — deep reds of Virginia creeper and the buttery yellows of poison ivy cascading down through trees where they had entwined themselves.
As I recognized the impulse to write about the color of these two vines at this time of the year, I began to calculate a continuing dilemma I face in these columns. My goal is to write about what readers are experiencing in their varied involvement with the natural world; to illuminate, inform and share insiehts.
