The next level of activity includes specifics on the different types of activity we should include two to three to five times a week. Activity can be divided into three different types: aerobic, flexibility and muscle strength.
For example aerobic activity is recommended to be done three to five times a week and might include biking, swimming, running around or jump rope for kids. For adults it might include brisk walking, bicycling or swimming. Aerobic/recreational activities for older adults might include walking, tennis, dancing and low-impact aerobics.
Recreational activities for kids and adults are similar

Both aerobic and recreational activities are recommended fot three to five times a week for at least 20 minutes at a timei Flexibility and muscle strength activities are suggested for two to three times # week and include pull ups/ push ups, ballet/dance and karate for kids. Activities for adults and older adults are much the same plus weight lifting, tai chi and yoga.
Moving up the pyramid includes leisure activities of sports for adults like golf, bowling, softball and fishing. Leisure activities for kids are miniature golf, canoeing, swinging and tumbling. Two to three times a week are suggested here.
Guess what activities are at the top of the pyramid. These are the ones we need to cut down on and should not engage in for more than 30 minutes at a time. For all age groups TV watching and computer activities top the list. These may keep our minds sharp but it is important to keep your body moving and in shape.
