Girls softball clinic set
Rappahannock Girls Little League Softball Coaches Susan Payne and Paul Gall will be conducting a fall softball program which will consist of fundamental skill development and drills for girls bom from Aug. 1, 1987 to July 31, 1993.
The clinic will be held Saturdays, Oct. 16, 23 and 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. behind the Mountainside Market in Sperryville. Anyone with questions should call Paul Gall evenings, 937-5048, daytime 540-477-6227 or Susan Payne, 987-8090, evenings.
Meditation program offered
A meditation program will be offered at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center on Thursdays beginning Oct. 14. Led by Joe Johnson, an experienced meditator, the class will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. For information call after 6 p.m., 923-4614.
Shooting match at Castleton
The Castleton Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a shooting match every Friday night at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the department. Local residents are encouraged to support this endeavor.
Live music at Cooter's
Live music will be featured Oct. 16 and 17 at Cooter’s in Hazzard Country, just west of Sperryville. On Saturday from 12 to 3 p.m. Cooter’s Garage Band will be performing and on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. the Page County Ramblers will be playing. All community residents are invited to attend.
Beginners Astrology classes to meet
Rappahannock Healing Arts Center will host Stella Richards, psychological astrologer, on Oct. 23 from 1-3 p.m. The focus will be on a basic and in-depth understanding of the signs, planets and aspects and will delve into chart interpretation.
