Continuing its international and national recognition, Gray Ghost’s 1998 Chardonnay was recently awarded a gold medal by 53 consumer panelist in the Annual Wine Lovers Consumer Competition held in Washington, D.C.
Tasters Guild International, a Wine and Food Appreciation Society based in Florida, sponsors this competition to educate consumers in recognizing quality wine values and to give the industry a reference for consumer tastes. Wines entered represented seven countries and 13 states. This is the fifth accolade to be bestowed on the Chardonnay this year.
In addition, this gold medal news arrives on the heels of the announce- * " ment that Gray Ghost’s 1998 Cabernet Franc was awarded a gold medal in the State Fair of Virginia Wine Competition.
This is the second medal for the recently release 1998 Cabernet Franc and brings to 32 the number of medals awarded Gray Ghost wines to date in 1999.
