Then, on Saturday, June 30, a resident of Crest River Road near Hume came upon remains that were later positively identified as the missing woman’s. The unidentified landowner was clearing his property for an orchard and had walked the property prior to his discovery after a plea was made by Fauquier and Rappahannock county law enforcement to landowners to help with their search.
