This desbearado just won’t quit. I temporarily secured my pantry-room-tobe with a sheet of the cheapest grade of what appears to be sixteenth inch plywood— it must be made of ailanthus because when I passed by a grove of those with the plywood, the parent (apparently) trees bowed their heads with the shame of it all.
Anyway, the plywood went up to prevent yet another kitchen raid by that bread-thieving son-of-a-bear, and it fit quite snugly, save for the seven inch gaps on both the lower left hand and upper right hand corners. I didn’t expect that the 800 pound bear could negotiate those clearances, so I looked forward to quite a gentle and restful night.
After hearing accounts of my bear incursions, friends and enemies alike had no end of suggestions.
