The Transition Class at RCHS offered a donation of $4000 to be used to purchase an air conditioner for the gymnasium. The letter from the class said that the class had accomplished its goals and that the Special Education students wanted to express their appreciation and to honor Wilson Atkins and the memory of Shelby Atkins by making the donation. Mr. Warner said that he had reservations about accepting such a significant sum, and suggested that the offer be accepted but held in the class account until such time as there are sufficient funds both to support the program and the offer. The Board accepted those conditions.
