That determination could come within the next few days, Pfeiff said, and will play a pivotal role in whether homicide charges are filed.
Currently, Maurice Bailey, 20, of Warrenton, remains in the custody on a charge of unauthorized use of Pruitt’s vehicle that was filed June 16 by Warrenton Police. Bailey is also being held on a warrant issued by Prince William County authorities for failure to appear in court for an unrelated matter.
He is being held without bond.
Bailey, who was scheduled to meet with Pruitt’s family the day after her disappearance, is believed to be the last person to have seen Pruitt alive.
